What makes your consulting different from others?
Many admissions consulting firms focus on completing applications—creating a list of universities, reviewing essays, and submitting paperwork. While those services are important, we believe they are only one part of preparing a student for success.
At American U-Prep, we take a mentoring approach. We spend time getting to know each student, understanding their strengths, interests, goals, and personality before recommending universities. Our objective is not simply to help students earn admission—it is to help them thrive once they arrive on campus.
We also invest in developing students personally. Depending on their individual needs, we may recommend books, help them build planning and organizational systems, develop study habits, improve time management, strengthen communication skills, or prepare them for the independence required to succeed at a U.S. university. We want our students to grow in confidence, maturity, and leadership throughout the admissions journey.
Unfortunately, we've met students who came to us after disappointing experiences elsewhere. Some told us they received little more than a generic list of universities and brief feedback like, "Your essay isn't good enough—rewrite it," without meaningful coaching or guidance. That is not how we work.
Our students receive personalized coaching, honest feedback, and ongoing mentorship throughout the process. We celebrate their successes, help them navigate challenges, and remain invested in their journey because we believe every student deserves more than an application service—they deserve a mentor.

We provide comprehensive college admissions consulting, including personalized assessments, test preparation, essay coaching, and application support to guide you every step of the way. We also help our students identify internships using our extensive international business network. Finally, we connect many of our students with U.S.-based experts in the field of their interest.
What makes American U-Prep unique?
We are an all-American team living and working in Eastern Europe. And have staff in the U.S. Most international educational consulting companies do not have their students working directly with an American team. As Americans, we understand the culture and the university system in a way that others can not. We know the cultural and educational dynamics that your student faces because we live it every day! In addition, we not only give you a list of universities that are a good fit for our students, but we actually walk along side them and mentor them along the way. We help them develop routines that will make them successful long after they are done working with us.
